About Philharmonic.fm and The Dwelley Collection.
At Philharmonic.fm, we're proud to share the Dwelley Collection — the music library built by Robert Dwelley. It includes thousands of vinyl records, reel-to-reel tapes, scores, and more. This was Robert's collection, gathered with care and a deep love of music.
Robert was a musician, composer, and the founding director of Rochester's Madrigalia. Music was at the center of his life. He passed away in 1992 at just 42 years old, but his voice and his work are still here. Every day at noon EST on Philharmonic.fm, you can hear Robert — a reminder of what he created and left behind.
Mary Dwelley, Robert's wife, also shaped the lives of many people around her. She had a way of showing up when it mattered, and for me she was like a second mom. Her loss was sudden, but her influence has never gone away.
The Dwelley Collection is more than shelves of music. It carries Robert's vision and Mary's spirit, and it's here for anyone who wants to sit with the lasting beauty they both believed in.
